ONSITE SERVICES & SUPPORT
Our global on-site services and support allows for the very best customer service for our clients, regardless of whether it's a vessel, land based drilling operation or offshore wind platform.
We can have boots on the ground or sea to assist with design, installation, supervision and commissioning of your project.
As all our matting is custom built to each client's specifications, it is crucial we have accurate dimensions. In the event clients are not comfortable confirming dimensions from our AutoCAD drawings, we offer on-site surveys. Whether you require a rotary table, drilling platform, heli-deck, anti-slip egress route/pathway or stair treads, a member of our technical team can provide an on-site survey anywhere in the world.
A site survey allows for an area inspection, gathering of technical information, dimensions and electrical placements for an accurate design or an estimate. Surveys help to determine precise location(s), access, ideal orientation, JB / Control Panel placements, location of obstacles, etc. The type of site survey and the best practices required depend on the nature of the project.
On-site surveys are highly recommended for Arctic Pad Projects as these heated mats cannot be altered, modified and/or cut in anyway. Measure twice - cut once!
Utilizing your own installation staff or use a local third party, our experienced service managers can supervise and direct your crew through the complete installation of your Advanced Mat Systems' equipment package. This will assure that the installation work is according to both the customer and AMS® specifications. Installation supervision will normally be immediately followed by a commissioning of the system, thus enabling the customer to avoid costly delays and expenses due to discontinuity in the project
Traction Pads are very simple to install and affix to almost any surface (see under technical information the Installation process).
Arctic Pads require proper handling, storage and installation procedures for optimal performance as they encompass an electrical component and cannot be altered in any way. On-site supervision will ensure these procedures are followed from receiving point to mechanical installation.
Commissioning - Arctic Pad®
The commissioning process comprises the procedures to check, inspect, adjust, test, document and verify a fully functioning systems per the client's requirements. Arctic Pads require commissioning for AMS® certification and warranty. As Arctic Pads have an electrical heated core, thus requiring proper documentation of electrical installation. Commissioning includes verifying electrical hook-up and full training to your key personnel.
Commissioning will immediately follow the mechanical installation of Arctic Pads and overlap with the electrical hook-up, thus avoiding costly delays and expenses due to discontinuity of the project.
